Shopping for shoes
Only brought four pairs of shoes from home due to luggage space constraint. It’s getting cold here, can’t wear the sandals and slippers. I have been wearing the tennis shoes since arriving here. So, we dropped by Kohls on Saturday evening, wanted to get shoes that can be worn to church and work, or maybe also boots for the winter.
The shoes department at this Kohls was having a sales, however except for a few people who were shopping for Halloween costume, the store was actually quite empty! The big boy got impatient after an hour of waiting while me trying on many pairs of shoes. So, I shooed him to the demo massage chairs nearby, so he could have a good massage and I could shop in PEACE.
At the end, got myself a pair of slipped on Oxford shoes with leather upper and flexible outsole. The elastic inserts on both sides provide easy slip-on wear. The suede trim along the collar, mircosuede lining and cushioned footbed really make your feet stay comfortable. This patten comes with a wider version and that solved the problem of not able to find shoes that fit my unsually wider toes. :)

Casual Slip-On Oxford Shoes
Also got a pair of Suede Clog Slippers. The suede upper gives an earthy look and the faux-fur lining and padded foot bed are very comfortable. I only realized they are slippers for men when we reached home. But, who cares as long as they are comfortable.:-)

Suede Clog Slippers
Both were on 40%-50% discount, we paid about $60 inlcuding taxes for both and received $10 voucer for next purchase. Didn’t have time to look for winter boots as we have to rush off to meet my in laws for dinner. We most likely would come back here to continue the shopping next week.

The newspaper reported that around 300 of KL’s ladies turned out to view and support Anya Hindmarch’s latest offerings when the label unveiled its Spring/ Summer 08 collection recently.
It seems there is a must-have bag that sieves the in-crowd from the wannabes in every season. This time, the ‘It’ bag is the Cooper (RM4,900) in cream, caramel and grey which is trendy yet capacious enough to put all your poodle Dedione inside.

It does look adorable and make a fabulous day bag. I couldn’t imagine one single day activity it would not fit into. It looks much softer and it feels very soft as well, which is no surprise since it is made of calf leather. In the description they state the leather feels almost buttery to the touch and that it will only get softer.
Cooper is a big bag, but not one of the oversized bags, at least it didn’t look like one to me since it is very well proportioned.
Anya Hindmarch is available at Parkson @ The Pavilion, Suria KLCC, Isetan @ The Gardens and 1 Utama.

My younger sister flew to HK to attend an ex colleague’s wedding reception yesterday. I was just casually mentioned to her that maybe she could help me to pick up a bottle of perfume at the airport’s duty free stores. Didn’t really expect her to call me from the airport this morning, asking about the name brand of the fragrance I wanted.
I have asked for a bottle of Anais Anais by Cacherel. Love this fragrance, it’s sweet, refreshing and flowery. She could only find the Eau de toilette at the duty free stores though I would prefer the Eau de parfum. The last bottle of this fragrance had served me for two years and used until the last drop.
The Big Boy doesn’t really bother about fragrance, he is born with very little sense of smell and can’t really smell unless it’s pungent like rotten eggs. I am wearing it anyway because I like to smell good. :-)

Apart from the kitchen renovation project that currently in progress, I have been doing some small sewing projects and start moving the furniture around to give the house a new look. We aren’t going to buy any new accessories for any of the rooms since we will be moving again soon.
We do need blinds for the back room windows though, the evening sun can really heat up the back room that we currently use as a store room. Perhaps we need to look around for discount blinds?
Would like to sew up some covers for the dining chairs and teak patio furniture though. Have sewn some new curtains for the bedrooms last year, so this year properly don’t need to sew any more curtains.

Went shopping and bought a few tops, a pair of jeans and a pair of khaki. I really like the jeans, it fits really well. I am quite particular about the jeans I buy and it’s not always easy to find a pair of fitting jeans that I like, yet comfortable to wear.

You can tell the tops are all summery, either sleeveless or with spaghetti strips. Actually, the light blue top with spaghetti strips is nighties. No school girl costumes in the lot though, he, he…
I didn’t pay regular price for these clothes, they were on sale for at least 50%.

We have wanted to get a new laptop for a couple of months now. Finally we can get it next month. We did not want to pay with credit card as or do a 0 balance transfer later. We also did not want to touch the saving for emergency fund. So, we waited to have enough cash in hand to buy the new laptop.
It’s going to be funded from the money made from writing paid posts. We are hoping with a newer and faster laptop, work can be done more efficiently. The current computer that we have is two years old. Though it functions perfectly, it’s a bit slow, especially when required to open multiple tabs or windows, it often cannot cope with the multi-tasking and hang on us.

I am such a procrastinator, the old digital camera died and have been camera-less for more than a month, but yet to stop by the camera shop to get the digital camera I want. Feel so handicap without one! They are many things gather in my mind that I would like to blog about, and an absence of suitable image prevent the perfectionist me from starting to write them down.
Over the last few weeks, came across some things/events that I thought would be good blogging topics, but alas, I want to have some photos to go with them. It will be nice to have a DSL but I would be just looking at point and shot digital cameras because that’s what I have budgeted for.
