Starting Fruit and vegetable juice fasting
Decided to do a fruit and juice fasting starting tomorrow. Bought all this vegetable and fruits just now. I have done this type of fast once last year around this time. The juice is quite tasty, it’s not yucky. I haven’t decided to do how many days. The fruits and vegetables I bought probably can last 3-4 days. So, will take one step at a time!
I shall write down the whole fasting process in this blog.
Disclaimer: I have consulted a nutrisionist before I embark on this fast. But, this is my journal and as I chronicle my fasting journey, it may not be taken as instruction of how to do it. Especially if you have certain medical conditions, you should always consult your physician or a nutritionist before you take on.

Have been toying with the idea of starting a blog that share about how to be debt free and continue to live a debt free life based on my personal experience with The Total Money Makeover.
In December 2006, I started with about $4k in credit card debt, $5k in personal loan that I took from family and friends to start the business, and about $30k mortgage on the house. I was totally stressed out and worried about the debts, then I got to know about Dave Ramsey. I was too cheapskate to buy all the CDs and DVDs, I just downloaded the podcasts of Ramsey’s radio shows from the Internet and listened to him before I went to bed. It sounded like a workable plan to me, so I started following the “Baby steps”. I started a budget that I followed religiously. I also got rid of all the credit cards, paid them off one by one. 9 months later, I have totally paid down every cent of it and completely debt free except for the mortgage.
What really helped a lot in paying down the debt in such a short time was getting a second income i.e. making money off blogging. I am very thankful to God’s provision and for stumbling onto this opportunity to blog for money. I have so far make about $3k writing paid posts for 10 ad networks. It has all went into paying for expenses and debts.
Now that I have no credit card and car payments, my net income gives me so much more freedom and flexibility. I am saving up an emergency fund to take care of the rainy days and a fund for getting a new car. After that, I would be working on paying down the mortgage in a shorter period than the scheduled 8 years.

We are going through that cycle again, fighting about nothing and everything when we talk on the phone. Thank goodness for cheap calls through VoIP phone systems, else we would have gone bankrupt with all this long hours spent on the phone arguing about everything.
Every time when I need him to help me to get something done, it would be like that. Many months ago, it was getting a bank account, now it’s about setting up the online access for me to monitor and have access to my money. I really don’t like to trouble him if I have a choice, but being an alien, I have no choice.
When even getting a bank account is like a major challenge, I don’t know how we are going to battle the lengthy and gruesome immigration process later. I am so fed up with this unwillingness to learn to solve problem. If avoiding problems is going to help, they would have been no problem in this world!
Well, living and exploring just have to wait till I am done with my rantings. Am I not glad that I have this blog for me to rant, rant and rant! I would go cuckoo stuffing all this unhappiness in my small brain.

Human emotion is a complex thing, isn’t it?
One minute I was all angry with DH for not communicating about his plans. The next minute it just didn’t bother me so much anymore. Instead of feeling remorse and mad, we are talking lovey dovey again.
DH thinks that’s because I am a woman. So, is he right to say so? What was your experince? One thing I do know is: DH prayed for me. Maybe the change of heart is not just a woman thing.

Since I started blog for money in May 2007, the income from blogging has been steadily coming in. I am taking it more seriously as a job now. I started more blogs and am going to work more on some of this blogs now that I am mostly free in the morning.
The main personal blog has been accepted into a few ad networks for writing paid posts. But, I do not want to spam the blog with too many paid posts, only the ones that I find fitting in nicely. I see that the way to avoid spamming a blog with too many paid posts is to have more blogs. I haven’t decided to get more domains or just create more sub-domains. At the moment, this blog is taking the sub-domain of Leah’s Cafe.

Over the long weekend, I was at my parents’ place, sisters were also home and we talked and laughed a lot while lazing around watching soaps. They made a remark that I have become more and more like my mother.
Ha, that’s something I noticed too. I have taken on some of my mum’s traits. Growing up, I wanted to never become her, but I think I have taken on some of her more annoying traits without planning to. :-)
It maybe hard to become something you want to, seems like it’s harder to not become something, because, who has the energy to spend one’s time in constant prevention? And, doesn’t one often becomes other things in the course of pursuing another thing. Things you never thought you’d become!
