Sisters
My two sisters are fast approaching their 30s and they are very career-minded. They enjoy the freedom of being single. They have gone to many places for work and leisure. They are paid quite well and can travel to places for vacation or staying at luxury places like St. Thomas villa rentals.
The older sister has a boyfriend who got transferred to work in the UK, the long distance relationship has been going on for more than a year. The younger sister is the prettiest among us, but she currently doesn’t have a boyfriend and is not looking. That worries my mother.
Mum is always concern about her daughters who stay singles for too long. She thinks life is not complete without a life partner. Mum has her points because she is happily married to a man who adores her and loves her unconditionally. But, to me, marriage has not been much a bliss and full of disappointments at this point, so I couldn’t agree with mum wholeheartedly. Sometime I wonder whether my unhappiness with my marriage had rubbed off and influenced my sisters’ views on marriage and relationships as a whole.
